“Sometimes luck is on your side, so I consider my family to be very lucky to have “discovered” Rachel and Nicky just as they were starting up their business. I knew from the very first meeting that they were “just what I was looking for” – it was important that additional carers would fit in seamlessly with our existing carer, and existing arrangements, in helping me look after my dad.
We are also very lucky that my dad, who is 96, only requires companion care and Rachel and Nicky help out with light household duties, cooking, medication prompting and even watering plants. My dad has even had Nicky out in his garden metal detecting!
They both inject fun into my dad’s life, come up with new ideas, are extremely personable, and they demonstrate a high level of professionalism, compassion and reliability. They are building up a lovely friendship with my father which, I believe, has contributed to his continued wellbeing.
